When I set out to do this image, I really wanted to bring out a sense of scale revolving around the large object. To help this I positioned the camera at a low angle, sort of from a human stance or perspective. For the terrain, I wanted to acheive a sense of depth in the mountain range as mountains appear behind other mountains and fade off into the backdrop. Added haze, and fog between the mountains to add a sense of depth.
Considerable work was done with the sunlight and overall lighting in this scene in order to maintain a bright burst of light through the clouds without it over-lighting the rest of the scene.

The purpose of this image was to illustrate that moment when all of us look for an answer, and it doesn't come. My goal here was to illustrate this in a way so that anyone could relate to it, regardless of their religious background.
I also added some very subtle "Authurian" motifs, which I think are clearly seen.

The purpose of this project was to capture the essence & feel of "spiritual freedom", and the Native American spirit. The color tones used are a cross between sepia, bronze, brown, & dark and light grays.
This project started off in Vue...spent alot of time re-working the environment & atmosphere. The tree would be sort of the focal point as well as the sunlight. I wanted to create a brisk, windy scene, with sunlight shinning through the tree branches and illuminating the leaves. I wanted the viewer to look at the sun and almost feel the brilliance of the light as if they were actually looking into a light-source. This project sat on my computer for almost 2 months as I would put it away for a bit, then go back and work on it in-between other projects. Once I was satisfied with the environment, and the overall lighting in the scene, I moved on to work on the character/model in poser and Cinema.

This image is sort of a personal, and spiritual piece that I've wanted to do for a long time. My hope was to invoke a feeling, emotion, and mood through this work. The challenge here was making sure I had the right expression and body language.

I played around with some "selective coloring" for this image. I liked the sepia/gray tones, but also wanted to emphasize the Fall foilage colors.
here the subject retreats to her secret place high above the hill top away from the crowds, she leans against her favorite tree to take a moment to reflect and enjoy the splendor of Autumn's vibrant colors and hues.
